What You Can Do:

LOBBY CONGRESS TO IMPEACH BUSH & CHENEY

Urge your member of Congress or other members to co-sign or support a bill of impeachment. Call his or her district or Washington office, send an e-mail, fax or letter.

Get your organization to take an official stand on impeaching Bush & Cheney and communicate it to your member of Congress.

Collect signatures in your district or other districts on a petition calling for the same.

Form a delegation from your organization or a coalition of organizations to visit your member of Congress.

Mount demonstrations on impeachment. Do weekly vigils. Organize impeachment contingents in multi-issue marches.

Distribute fliers on the issue at public events or at the entrance of movie houses, especially when films on related topics are shown.

Talk up the issues of impeachment with your trade union. Present a resolution to the rank-and-file or board. Get your city or county labor council to develop a resolution addressed to your member of Congress.

Raise the issue of impeachment with the social justice group at your place of worship. Discuss the moral imperative of the issue with your clergy-person, suggesting that he or she raise it during a sermon. Help form a coalition of different places of worship or clergy to get the message to your member of Congress.

National organizations could send messages to all members of Congress or to those on the House Judiciary Committee.
