Gaming on the Web and the World

MMORPG is one of the most lucrative businesses in the recent past of the USA. Just about every household across the country has played at least a single video game.
Everquest 2, World of Warcraft, City of Heroes, Diablo 2, Sims, and so many more have joined people together in huge numbers in order to kill of the enemy, fight against monsters, warriors, creatures, and much more. If there is an imagination for it, there is the chance that there can be a game for it.

this interest in gaming online has made several companies extremely successful. Even in economies that are poor, the online gaming industry continues to thrive. Running a game online that is successful depends on a long term loyalty and a very strong subscription base that gives reason for its existence. The Sims Online was successful for a number of years, but entered a recession upon losing its subscription base to other online games like Second Life, and World of Warcraft. Competition is fierce and each and every company will fight to win your dollars, tempting you with the ultimate online experience.

Online MMOs are not just limited to Computers. X-Box 360 and Playstation 3 have also become apart of the online world giving us the power to blow up lifelike tanks and kill giant monsters.
Sometimes a game will give you the ability to find out who is the better strategist by pitting them against each other. Just as the Highlander did, we continue on knowing, that there is only one, can it be us?

Some MMOs remove the game altogether leaving us with only a social network in a world we can create and shape ourselves as we see fit. Second Life lets users join for free, and create whatever you want, and allows you to give anything in the game your own meaning. They allow you to interact with others in order to create one of the largest networks in the world.

Whether you like it or not, MMOs aren’t going anywhere. Whether we are soldiers of fortune, or just a social butterfly, Online games give us a way that we can reach out and see our imagination jump to life and share our active imagination with others in, in our self created online worlds.
